Would a candle burn in the absence of Wick?

The wick would burn up and go out if the wax of the candle did not melt and wick up into the flame. Actually, it does burn up. Otherwise you would have a long wick left over as the wax burned down. The flame melts the wax.

Can you use mica powder in wax melts?

You can use Mica Powder for decorating the outside of a candle but we would not recommend using it in the candle wax as it can clog the wick, which is a potential fire hazard.

How much fragrance oil do you add to wax melts?

Most waxes will hold no more than 12% of fragrance oil however to assure the candle stability is not compromised we advise using 10% fragrance oil for optimal scent throw. This means if your candle is 100g in total- 90g should be wax and 10g would be your fragrance oil.

How do you melt soy wax?

Melt the wax in a pan over medium heat or in a microwave-safe container and on high (it only takes 90 seconds in my microwave). 4 cups of soy wax flakes = 2 cups melted wax. When it’s all nice and melted, let it cool just a bit. Then stir in essential oils (about 4 drops per cup of melted wax) to scent the wax.
